onClick’s New Fingerprint Biometrics Created for Home and Business

(PRWEB) October 29, 2003

(PRWEB)October 29, 2003 – Houston, Texas – onClick Corporation, provider of biometric solutions, has announced a new marketing strategy for their fingerprint products. onClick’s existing line of fingerprint devices, including BioMouse, BioScan, BioLock and BioPad, among others, will now belong to the VIA® series. New products have also been added within a separate series called FreedomPass® to acknowledge the distinct needs of home and business.

The decision to change the names of the onClick fingerprint products was to create distinguishable families of products. Separating the series based on solutions for home and business will make it easier for consumers to determine which product is best for them. When seeking something more secure and convenient than passwords, FreedomPass is a very economical choice. VIA products are ideal when powerful security is priority. The software will also reflect the home and business needs through the features that are offered.

The FreedomPass Series is a unique line of fingerprint biometrics geared toward home and home office use. This line of biometrics consists of a computer mouse, door lock, and stand-alone device, with more on the way. The family shares the same CMOS based sensor that will read distinct points of a person’s fingerprint, determining identity and authorization level.

The business line of products, now known as VIA, will feature all the models using a silicon sensor. The powerful security this series offers will be able to accommodate any small, medium or large-sized business challenges. The name VIA was chosen to represent what the products are equipped to do: Verify, Identify, and Authorize (VIA).

The FreedomPass PC mouse (Model FM-8620) is the equivalent to VIA Mouse. The stand-alone device (Model BP-8622) is very versatile with a USB interface, for use with computers or laptops. The door lock (Stand-alone Model FL-8601 and Networked Model FL-8602) will allow multiple users to access their home without a key.

VIA Mouse (Model VM-8621), formally BioMouse, has a fingerprint sensor on top of the optical mouse, just below the scroll wheel for easy access. VIA Card (Model VS-100) is the PCMCIA card, formally BioScan. Other products include VIA Lock (Models VL-8611 and VL-8612), which comes in a networked and stand-alone version, and VIA Pad (Model VP-8621), built to work with a PC or laptop. All onClick’s existing products such as BioMouse and BioScan, will be transitioning to their new names immediately.

More product information for VIA and FreedomPass lines is at http://www.onclickbiometrics.com. Additional products will be added in the months to come.

onClick Corporation is a global provider of business solutions that address unique goals. onClick’s innovative biometric technology offers a high level of security and convenience for computers, data, home and office. We join together biometric tools with customizable software that will not only create security solutions, but solves complex business challenges as well.

workSafe: New RSI Prevention Software

workSafe: New RSI Prevention Software

Bournemouth, UK (PRWEB) February 15, 2004

The software monitors work patterns and decides when a break from repetitive keyboard or mouse action is required. Calculations tuned to the human body measure strain, based on current and previous computer usage. Whilst clever underneath, the software is simple to use, with only three slider settings to be set by each user.

During enforced breaks at the computer, workSafe shows exercise movies with descriptive text to ease physical and mental strain. A variety of ‘safeTips’ appear on-screen when the user becomes under keyboard/mouse pressure, giving many ergonomic suggestions.

Binary Logic has modelled current medical opinions to a real-time analysis engine within the software creating a “measure” of human strain.

Research shows that with well chosen recovery time, the algorithm is remarkably efficient at tracking your recovery during rest periods. This is where workSafe supersedes time-out based systems currently on the market as it can accurately register recovery during many short and long breaks.

Richness and versatility of settings accommodates all members of the computer workforce within the company’s Health and Safety Agreement. Breaks and other events are time and date stamped in the system’s Event Log. Health and Safety managers can also set the system to receive related automated reports from users.

workSafe is multi-lingual, currently in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

Compatible with Microsoft® Windows® 98, Me, 2000, NT4, XP and 2003.

Hide Files has been released!

Hide Files has been released!

(PRWEB) December 20, 2003

You have any files or programs that you don’t want to share with other or they contain financial and tax information, passwords, personal letters and emails, private images, and other confidential or personal

data. But typically, computer files and folders have not security protection so the best way to protect them is to make files or folders invisible for another’s eyes. Hide Files makes hidden any files and folders (or whole Windows folder or even all computer disks).

Hide Files allows you to select any folders (and sub folders with files) of your choice to protect as hidden files and folders. You can select any folders on your computer or drag-and-drop the desired folders from

Windows Explorer into the Hide Files window. In one mouse click the folders selected become invisible. Once files or folders are hidden, it is impossible to find them, or access and remove any file. Unhiding

files or folders is as easy as hiding them – just one mouse click and they are visible and accessible to you again. If program folder or whole disks are hidden, itself program or Windows will continue to work normally.

Hide Files is protected by a password and hotkey that you can change or remove at any time. You can use this security features to protect Hide Files from unauthorized start.

Hide files features:

Any number of files and folders may be hidden at the same time.

Program does not modify file system structure.

NTFS, FAT32 and FAT file systems are supported.

Hotkey and password protection for program start.

Stealth Mode – program itself can be hidden.

Hide Files will hide any folders including Windows, Windows System folders and Windows partition root folders without damage of operational system itself (i.e. your computer will continue to work normally).

Invisibility of hidden files over network.

Locking of hidden files or folders to prevent access to them via list of most recently used files.

Cell Phone Comparison Websites Help Consumers Save Big

Walla Walla, WA (PRWEB) April 13, 2006

With the proliferation of cell phones and cell phone plans now available in the United States, how is, “The Great American Consumer”, supposed to know which wireless company’s plan or cellular phone is the right one? Which of the 10 cell phone kiosks at the local mall holds the best wireless plan? Which one of those 200 shiny new cell phones has all the bells and whistles that the average consumer really needs without spending hard earned dollars on gizmos and gadgets they don’t need and will never ever learn how to use?

For consumers who use the Internet, answers about the best cell phones and wireless plans are now available online at the click of a mouse. And, the best information available doesn’t come from the big cellular companies or cell phone manufactures anymore, but from wireless comparison websites like http://www.wireless-phone.com, http://www.cellchecker.com and http://www.calling-plans.com that are now starting to dominate the cellular sales market. Even official company websites and their brick and mortar stores can’t compete with the plans and cash-back cell phone deals now being offered by online cell phone comparison sites.

Comparison websites in all industries are now blowing away what is offered at local brick and mortar stores, and cell phone comparison websites are no different. Wireless comparison websites tend to have 5 to 10 times as many free phones than do the brick and mortar stores and websites for the large wireless phone service companies. And, instead of just getting the phones for free or at a reduced price like at the “Official Company Stores”, most comparison websites offer cash-back incentives with many of their free cell phones (with the purchase of a new cell phone plan of course). This should be a little surprising to the average consumer, when they consider the fact that the prices for the wireless plans offered by the “Official Company Stores” and websites are exactly the same as the prices offered on the non-official cell phone comparison websites.

Consumers looking for new cellular phones and cell phone service should answer the following 4 questions, before buying their new phone and service, to make sure they are getting the best deal possible:

1- What cell phone bells and whistles are needed, not just wanted?

2- How many cell phone minutes are needed each month?

3- What is the price quoted on the big 5 wireless phone company websites?

(This is usually the same price as charged in their brick and mortar stores.)

4- What are cell phone comparison websites offering for the same thing?

Once all of the above questions are answered, the best cell phone and wireless plan can be purchased, either online or at a brick and mortar store, with the confidence that comes with being a well-informed consumer.
